1 Method Of Viewing

Text— cph=87— clh=68—

The help documents are expected to be viewed via the Document Preview - this is what the〔?〕button does.

Text— cph=168— clh=111—

The Document Preview's Index is useful for jumping to headings/topics in the help documents. You can also search for headings containing specific text via the index - tap on 〔Show〕, and then type the text you wish to find in〔enter text   〕box.

Text— cph=101— clh=63—

You can of course open any help document in the editor in order to search its entire text or perhaps to understand how it achieves its visible content.

3 Organisation And Naming

All the ProseEdit help documents are ProseEdit documents.

Text— cph=87— clh=68—

Documents with a name of the form ‘xxx Help’ are front line documentation which are called up by tapping on a〔?〕button.

Text— cph=63— clh=44—

The documentation for the Editor and File Manager are split over several documents:

4 Help Files Can Be Edited

Text— cph=139— clh=82—

All ProseEdit help files (including this file) can be edited as you feel fit - from adding notes to reorganising it to make the information you need more accessible. The help documents are normal ProseEdit documents and can be handled in exactly the same way.

Text— cph=120— clh=82—

To return to the as-provided versions, simply delete the document file or move it to somewhere else, and restart ProseEdit. You need to fully close the ProseEdit App [how].

Section— cph=44— clh=44— level=1—

5 Updating Help Files

Text— cph=101— clh=63—

Updated help files, when available, can be downloaded from the website [how].

Text— cph=101— clh=63— css=margin-top:2cm— style=16—

This is a ProseEdit Help File. You can edit as desired to add notes. If you delete the file, it will be replaced the next time ProseEdit starts up.
