ProseEdit supplements the iPhone's usual shake to undo with a complete browsable history of recent edits. In addition to being able to undo all the edits back to a given point in one action, you can also view the details of each edit and extract salient chunks to Scratch - so you can retrieve lost work without having to undo all the work since. The most recent portion of the history is also saved with the document, so closing a document doesn't mean you can't undo when it's reopened.

Text— cph=101— clh=63—

The document history also records the undo of edits, and their redo, so you can't lose work by undoing something then continuing with fresh edits.

Text— cph=139— clh=82—

Note though the document history is only a log of recent edits. It does not list all the edits since the creation of this document. Hence it is not a substitute for taking archive copies of documents [more].

1.1 What You Can See

Text— cph=253— clh=158—

A list of the edits performed on this document, with the most recent at the top. Each edit gives a summary of the document after the edit. The # numbers refer to the row numbers of the chunks involved. You can see a chunk's row number in its details [more], or go to a row via the Document Index [more].

Edits which are currently undone are show in grey at the top the list.
