Lexicons contribute to the suggestions for alternative words and phrases offered by ProseEdit's Edit Menu. Working a bit like a thesaurus they provide a means for suggestions to be related by meaning rather than just by spelling. Unlike a thesaurus the alternatives are not restricted to synonyms - it's whatever would be handy for you.

Browse to this page from within ProseEdit. Open the lexicon document of interest, then tap on〔/Save\〕on the Preview's toolbar. This will save the current document directly to the Lexicons resource folder.
