ProseEdit is now armed with a new suite of text correction/suggestion routines which have been developed especially to handle the sort of typos you are likely to make when thumb-typing on the iPhone's keyboard. These routines go beyond the selection and even fix typos involving space or return - just select any bit for suggestions which correct the overall mistake. If you can mistype it, chances are ProseEdit can correct it.

The correction routines work hand-in-hand with both the document's lexicons and the current typing reactions giving suggestions which can be tailored to the task at hand and even cope with unintended text expansion.

The suggestion routines also offer helpful alternatives for other text: automatic number formatting, date updating, ordinals, roman numerals… Just select and tap the tick for something useful.

You can now adjust multiple chunks throughout the document in one action using the new tools menu in the Document Index.

For example change a load of titles to section headings, or paste a specific style to highlight every paragraph which mentions ‘basically’ - more formatting power at your fingertips! You can also tab all shown entries and progress any markup chunks.

Dragging the text selection to exactly what you want can be awkward, so now ProseEdit comes with a refine selection button on the Edit Menu.

Text— cph=146— clh=94—

Drag the selection somewhere close and tap refine selection, and the selection will be adjusted to whole word boundaries. It'll also extend the selection to include adjoining punctuation or pluck out useful content like the just number from a number with units. You can tap it several times to get other alternatives.
